Bending rebar by hand sounds simple. One worker with a manual rebar bender can bend about 200 bars per day. But many contractors struggle with slow work, tired workers, and bars that come out the wrong angle. A rebar bending machine solves these problems fast. It gives you consistent, precise bends in seconds instead of minutes. With one operator and a machine, you can bend thousands of bars per day. Less labor. Less waste. Fewer mistakes.
Let’s do the math. Assume you need to bend 4,000 steel bars for a foundation job. One worker with a manual rebar bending machine can bend about 200 bars per day. That is 20 days of work. With a YG automatic rebar bending machine, the same job takes one day. Assume a worker costs 100perday.Yousave100perday.Yousave1,900 in labor on just one job. The machine pays for itself in months.
YG Machinery offers YG-RB40, YG-RB42, and YG-RB50 rebar benders for construction sites, precast plants, and steel shops. We also provide complete rebar processing solutions including rebar straightening and cutting machines and CNC rebar benders.

How Does a Rebar Bending Machine Work?
The steel bar bending machine works on a simple principle. A horizontal working disc rotates on a vertical axis. The steel bar is placed between the center pin and the bending pin. When the disc rotates, the bending pin pushes the bar around the center pin. The bar bends to the set angle.
The operator controls the machine with a foot pedal or CNC panel. Press the pedal. The disc rotates. The bar bends. Release the pedal. The disc stops. For CNC models, you enter the angle on the panel. The machine stops automatically at the correct angle.
One worker can operate the machine while loading and unloading bars. No special skills needed.

Key Features of Steel Bar Bender
Bends 0-180 degrees – Set any angle from 0 to 180 degrees. CNC models stop automatically at your set angle. Manual models use angle guides.
Foot pedal control – Keep both hands on the bar. Step on the pedal to bend. Release to stop. Safer and faster than hand controls.
Pure copper motor – Runs cooler and lasts longer than aluminum motors. Less downtime for repairs. This electric rebar bender is built for daily use.
Moving wheels – Four wheels at the bottom corners. This portable rebar bender can be moved around the job site by one person. No forklift needed.
Emergency stop button – Big red button at eye level. Hit it to stop the machine instantly if something goes wrong.
CNC control panel – On RB42 and RB50 models. Enter the angle, quantity, and speed. The machine runs automatically.
Sturdy steel construction – The working disc and pins are made of high-strength alloy steel. They can handle daily heavy use for years.
Applications of Rebar Bender
This electric rebar bender is used in many construction and manufacturing jobs.
Building foundations – Bend starter bars, column cages, and footing reinforcement. The RB40 is good for residential work. The RB50 handles heavy commercial foundations.
Bridge construction – Bridges require curved bars for abutments and arches. The RB50 bends 40mm rebar with ease.
Precast concrete plants – Produce standard bent bars for beams, panels, and piles. Set the CNC panel once and run hundreds of identical pieces.
Tunnel and subway projects – Curved segments need precision bent bars. The machine bends both round and ribbed rebar.
High-speed rail – Rail infrastructure requires thousands of bent bars. High volume needs high speed. The RB42 bends 36mm bars for rail ties and supports.
Steel processing shops – Process round bars, square bars, and flat bars for custom orders. For stirrup bending machine applications, the RB42 can bend 36mm rebar into various shapes including square, rectangular, and diamond.
YG Machinery also offers rebar straightening and cutting machines and thread rolling machines for complete rebar fabrication.
Whatever your project, tell us your bar size and volume. We will help you choose the right configuration.

Customer Case
A large rebar processing plant in Russia needed bending equipment that could work in sub-zero temperatures. Winter temperatures drop to -20°C or lower. Their manual bending method was too slow. Workers were struggling.
YG Machinery supplied four YG-RB50 rebar bending machines with cold climate modifications. The machines include special lubricants, cold-start modules, and sealed electrical components rated for low temperatures.
The results:
- Bending efficiency increased by 35%
- Manual workload reduced significantly
- Machines ran without downtime during winter months
- Customer placed a repeat order for expansion
The plant manager said: “The YG rebar benders exceeded our expectations. They run smoothly even at -20°C. Our production capacity has never been higher.”
